Growing up in Antwerp, Belgium, a city famed for its diamonds, Shelly developed an early fascination with fine jewelry. Her studies and work in art took her to London and Florence, deepening her artistic appreciation and expertise. Later, she was influenced by the vibrant Middle East, where sun-drenched beaches, and diverse cultures enriched her creative vision.
